Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 25, 2026 · Version 2.00

This Privacy Policy explains how GLJET collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use GLJET Card. GLJET does not sell personal information, does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and does not use targeted advertising.

1. Scope and operator

This Policy applies to the GLJET Card website, progressive web application, public digital cards, account features, emails, and related services (the “Service”). The Service is operated under the GLJET brand. Questions and privacy requests may be submitted through our privacy request form or by email to gljet@gljet.com.

The Service is intended for adults who are at least 18 years old and is not directed to children.

2. Personal information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following categories:

  • Account and identity information, such as name, email address, password hash, account language, verification status, and account identifiers.
  • Profile content you choose to publish, such as name, photo, cover image, business location, phone number, WhatsApp number, email, activities, descriptions, websites, and social media links.
  • Authentication information received from Google or another enabled sign-in provider, such as name, email, provider identifier, and verification status.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address when recorded for security or form processing, browser language, session and preference cookies, timestamps, and basic server logs.
  • Communications and support information, including emails, privacy requests, verification requests, and information you provide when contacting us.
  • Lead information submitted through a card if that feature is enabled, such as name, email, phone number, message, and IP address.

3. Sources of information

We receive information directly from you, automatically from your browser and our servers, from people who submit information through a card, and from authentication providers such as Google when you choose social sign-in.

GLJET does not automatically collect precise device geolocation. A location displayed on a card is text voluntarily provided by the card owner.

4. How we use information

  • Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts.
  • Publish and display the digital card and its language versions.
  • Provide editing, sharing, QR, vCard, PWA, and communication features.
  • Send account verification, welcome, security, service, and support messages.
  • Remember language and login preferences.
  • Detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, protect the Service, and comply with law.
  • Respond to access, correction, deletion, portability, and appeal requests.
  • Improve functionality and understand aggregate service performance.

5. Public information and your choices

Digital cards are public to anyone who has or discovers the card link. Information entered in the card editor may therefore be viewed, copied, shared, indexed, or saved by others. Do not publish information you want to keep private.

Removing information from your card updates the GLJET-hosted card, but it cannot remove copies, screenshots, downloaded vCards, search-engine caches, or information previously saved by third parties.

6. How we disclose information

We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Hosting, database, infrastructure, email, authentication, and technical service providers that process data on our behalf.
  • Third-party functions you choose to use, including Google/Firebase authentication, email delivery, QR generation, maps, social networks, and external websites.
  • Authorities, courts, advisers, or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
  • A successor in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the Service, subject to applicable law.

7. No sale, targeted advertising, or automatic location tracking

GLJET does not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration. GLJET does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not process personal information for targeted advertising. GLJET does not automatically track precise device location.

If these practices change, this Policy and any legally required opt-out mechanisms will be updated before the new practice begins.

8. Cookies, sessions, and PWA storage

We use necessary cookies and local browser storage for login sessions, security, language, remembered email, install prompts, and PWA/offline functions. These technologies are used to provide requested functionality, not for targeted advertising.

You may clear cookies or browser storage, but doing so may sign you out, reset preferences, or remove offline content.

9. Retention and deletion

We retain account and card information while the account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the Service. After a valid deletion request, we delete or de-identify information unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement.

Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups and logs until overwritten under normal operational cycles. Privacy request records may be retained to demonstrate compliance and prevent fraud.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including HTTPS, password hashing, access controls, authenticated SMTP, session protections, and restricted configuration files. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for choosing a strong password and protecting access to your account and email.

11. Your U.S. privacy rights

Depending on your state and whether the applicable law covers GLJET, you may have rights to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive information; and appeal a denied request.

Because GLJET currently does not sell personal information or use targeted advertising, there is no sale or targeted-advertising opt-out to apply. We will honor applicable browser-based opt-out preference signals if those practices are introduced.

Submit a request through the “Exercise your privacy rights” form. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authorization and direct identity verification. You may appeal a decision by selecting “Appeal” in the same form. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.

12. California notice at collection

In the preceding 12 months, GLJET may have collected the categories described above: identifiers and contact information; internet or electronic activity; account credentials; user-generated profile and professional information; communications; and approximate location inferred from IP or a location voluntarily entered by a user. We use these categories for the purposes in Section 4 and disclose them to the categories of recipients in Section 6.

GLJET has not sold or shared these categories for cross-context behavioral advertising. GLJET does not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. Retention is described in Section 9.

13. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and is limited by our Terms to users age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

14. International processing

Information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. We use service providers and safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Service and applicable law.

15. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy. We will change the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.
